St Nicholas House offers day and boarding provision for primary school aged children with the same warmth of community, qualities and values that we promote in the senior school.
With a strong emphasis on pastoral care, support and guidance, our pupils develop good manners, mutual respect and tolerance. With the learning experience strongly focused on inspiring a love of learning, encouraging curiosity and an appreciation for the outdoors, our aim is to engender a strong work ethic with the right balance of work and play.
Taking advantage of our enviable location, pupils enjoy weekly Forest School sessions focused on building confidence and introducing pupils to natural world subjects. In the dedicated facility on the school grounds, pupils can feed their curiosity and explore the surrounding woodland, building dens, putting on shows in the mini amphitheatre, and observing the wildlife in the pond and meadow.
Pupils can take advantage of a varied second curriculum programme including music, performing and creative arts, sport as well as the outdoor club where outdoor skills are learnt and practiced in preparation for the pupils adventure days experience in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
