Christ College provides a glorious boarding environment where children and young people have the time and space to develop and nurture their talents. They are given an abundance of opportunities to try things, to succeed and to celebrate their successes. We build on their academic journey and support our pupils’ physical, emotional, cultural, moral, social and spiritual needs.
Staff in the boarding houses know our pupils extremely well. This happy, caring environment ensures that all pupils have a number of people to turn to in times of need. The building of strong friendships is at the heart of boarding life and our excellent boarding routines balance the need to support academic progress with providing the time for meaningful adventures and experiences at the weekend both on and off-site.
The Boarding Journey
Gratitude Programme*
The Gratitude Programme encourages our Leavers to reflect on their positive experiences of their time at the school and to acknowledge everyone that has helped them on their journey – fellow pupils, parents and staff.
The programme runs through the Summer term with both Year 6 and Upper 6th pupils participating. For the 6th Form in particular, their final year is focused on the school helping pupils through the university application process, examination preparation and supporting their Leavers celebrations. The programme enables pupils to leave a legacy of gratitude and feedback to the next generation.
Pupils engage positively with the programme which culminates in meaningful, emotional and sincere exchanges at Leavers Assemblies and ceremonies.
