Half Term Holiday Activities

May Half Term Activities: June 1st – June 4th 

We are delighted to let you know that we are planning a range of  activities for May Half Term.

Please see information below for all year groups. Each day students are requested to bring a packed lunch, snacks and a bottle of water.  Booking details are below.  Please note that places are limited.

St Nicholas House Programme

June 1st:  Drama:  ” The Ghost Story” –  play that will be staged using a cyclorama to create shadows and haze with a smoke machine.

June 2nd: Tennis Camp ( Mr Chris Hill LTA Tennis Coach )

An opportunity to practice tennis skills and learn new techniques playing games and taking part in fun challenges throughout the day.

June 3rd: Archery & Cricket ( Black Mountain Adventure & Mr Donnelly)

Archery:  This age old skill and equipment has evolved over the years, but the principle has remained the same. You will try to hit the target and accrue winning points for your team. Your Archery Coach will be at hand with any help and guidance that you may need to fine tune your skill.

Cricket: A fun filled afternoon of cricket where all key areas of the game will be covered by Mr Donnelly. Lots of fun cricket based activities, focusing on developing the fundamental skills required to play the game.

Alway & Year 9

Tennis: An opportunity to practice tennis skills and learn new techniques playing tennis matches.

Year 10 & 11 June 1st:  Canoeing & Stand Up Paddle Boarding ( Blue Dot Adventure)

Year 12 & 13: June 2nd: Canoeing & Stand Up Paddle Boarding ( Blue Dot Adventure)

A wonderful day of adventure. In Open Canoes on the river, students will work in pairs. The paddler at the front will be in charge of communicating and the rear paddler will be in charge of steering. Working together, they will discover how to keep their craft traveling in a straight-ish line.  This will be followed by Stand Up Paddle boarding and you will practice standing and travelling on your boards. Waterproofs required. Buoyancy aid, helmet and wet suit will be provided

Further details about stand up paddle boarding and canoeing will be sent to parents who have booked.
