Beacon Course

What is the Beacon Course?

It is a one week programme designed to really challenge an individual’s understanding of themselves and their own strengths and weaknesses.  It will see them physically and mentally exercised, take them out of their comfort zone and create an environment in which they will analyse, what it takes to be successful as a team and as an individual.  Immersed in an environment in which they will be encouraged to plan, administer, communicate and think independently they will consolidate their learning through daily directed Reflection Sessions, aimed to extract the maximum value from this intense and profound experience.  Carefully selected outdoor experiences and the opportunity to engage in a live environmental project, will enhance their outdoor awareness and inspirational Guest Speakers will bring their learning to life. The week is tough on the young people but also tremendous fun. Participants emerge  more confident,  selfless and considerate at the end of the week, comfortable in their own skin and better prepared for the challenges that they will undoubtedly face in the future.
