The Culture & Academic Preparation (CAP) programme prepares international students for cultural, academic and social success in a British boarding school environment.
It is ideal for students aged 15 wanting a boarding school experience to develop their language and academic skills over 1, 2 or 3 terms, possibly with the intention of studying at Sixth Form in the UK.
Students will be fully welcomed into the Christ College Brecon ‘family’. They will be supported by a team of dedicated teachers who will help them grow academically, personally and socially within the Christ College community so they can get the most out of their experience.

The programme introduces students to the UK curriculum, developing their academic skills and content knowledge. Language fluency is taught in specialist EAL classes, developed through specialist subjects and mastered by total immersion in school life. Alongside English Language classes students will study Maths, The Sciences, Humanities, and the Creative Arts. The Academic Programme
International students live alongside Christ College Brecon pupils in the school’s boarding houses. We have two Senior Boys’ Houses: Orchard House and School House, and two Senior Girls’ Houses: Donaldson’s House and de Winton House. CAP pupils are fully immersed with pupils in the school’s activity programme offering sport, adventure, music, drama and art, as well as cultural trips around the UK and Europe. The Boarding School Experience
