The very first Christ College Primary School Hockey Tournament took place recently on our Hazell’s Astroturf.
Starting at 9.30am, twelve teams of Year 5 and 6 pupils took part. Teams came from primary schools in South Powys including Llanbedr (3 teams), Bronllys (3 teams), Llanfaes (3 teams), Mount Street Juniors (1 team) and our very own St Nicholas House who entered two teams.
Matches were played in a six-a-side format with no Goal Keepers with each game lasting 15 minutes. The tournament finished at 3.00pm.
The schools involved thoroughly enjoyed the day and all of the hockey played was competitive and with great sportsmanship. Well done all involved!
