Celebrating another fantastic year at Christ College Brecon

Prize Day is one of the most special days in our calendar as we come together as a community to recognise the achievments of our pupils over the past academic year. 

We begin with our end of year service at Brecon Cathedral; we are very lucky to have such a beautiful venue within walking distance from the school. Our thanks go to our Chaplain for leading the service, The Bishop of Swansea and Brecon, and to all the pupils who spoke with clarity and confidence.

Following the service, the school community gathered in the Sports Hall for Prize Giving. We were delighted to welcome our Chair of Governors and guest speaker, Old Breconian Rusiru Kodithuwakku, who reflected warmly on his time at Christ College Brecon and encouraged our Upper Sixth leavers to let “kindness be their superpower” as they begin the next chapter of their lives.

Prizes were awarded across a wide range of areas, including academic excellence, sport, community involvement, music and the creative arts. Congratulations to all the prize winners – we are incredibly proud of your accomplishments.
