Red Nose Day Fun For Comic Relief

RED NOSE DAY SAW THE CHRIST COLLEGE COMMUNITY ALL DO THEIR BIT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR COMIC RELIEF

The Christ College community have been pulling out the stops for Red Nose Day once again.

Pupils in St Nicholas House wore red to school and brought several tons of red themed cakes and goodies to sell at break time. The box of 40 red noses were sold out in no time at all and along with donations for wearing red and cake sales, the juniors raised over £100.

The costumes were fantastic and there were ‘best-dressed’ prizes up for grabs. Mr Kerr arrived in a tutu and red tights and was glad of the warmer temperatures as the day went on!

Over in Henry’s, Mrs Phelps and Mrs Blatt organised a joint bake sale between De Winton and Donaldsons Houses at break time. The cake queues were snaking out into the quad!

A beautiful and most impressive Comic Relief cake, baked by Mrs Shelley Hill was raffled off, raising lots of extra funds for this worthy charity. All in all, the school raised a fantastic £383 and had lots of fun (and cake) in the process. Well done and thank you to all for your donations.
