Bright lights, colours, noise and heat changes were the order of the day as pupils learned how we get our energy to how energy is used and converted. Dr Davies took us through a series of practical demonstrations to highlight the points he made through his talk. The fluorescence demonstration almost rivalled the high voltage tessellator for wow factor, and judging from the quick fire quiz during break afterwards, the pupils had taken quite a lot on board.
Our thanks to the Royal Society of Chemistry for organising the lecture.
