OUR BOYS AND GIRLS ACROSS THE AGE-GROUPS HAVE BEEN BUSY POUNDING THE MUDDY FIELDS AND LANES AT VARIOUS CROSS COUNTRY EVENTS THIS WEEK.
Boys and girls across all age-groups at Christ College have been out in the sun and rain this week as they took part in various Cross Country events.
On Sunday Year 6 and Year 8 pupils took part in the Abberley Hall relays. With Year 6 pupils Rory, Sophie and Evie giving really good accounts of themselves, Peter, Connor, Llyr and Bruce from Year 8 put in some great times. Llyr’s split time was in the top ten fastest times recorded on the day!
Yesterday five pupils from Christ College wore the red vest of Powys at the Welsh National Cross Country Championships at Penlan.
Katie and Alice from Year 7 ran in the Lower Junior category with Katie coming 32nd in the field of 80 runners and was the second Powys runner home. Year 9 pupil, Kitt, ran well in the Junior Boys’ category, coming 17th. Jack, his older brother, and Yr 10 pupil, Danny, helped the Middle Boys’ county team to third place overall with Jack coming 15th. Excellent performances all round.
