Christ College Welcomes Exchange Students From Meikei High School, Japan

Hiroki Hara, Kazuya Oizumi, Ami Jo, and Urara Onuki will be with us until the end of term, joining classes and school activities. They’ll also be enjoying a busy programme of end-of -term events, including the school production of ‘Les Misérables’, the school Christmas Suppers, House Christmas parties, and the Carol Service. There will be the chance, too, to visit the Museum of Welsh Life in St Fagan’s, and to see some of the sights of the Welsh capital.

Over the weekend and at the end of their stay the students will have home-stay with their hosts, Dewi Evans, Alexander Dereham, Bella Fisher, and Sophie Laight, or with other senior pupils who are part of the Cultural Exchanges programme at Christ College.

In February the four Christ College students will fly to Japan for a two-week stay at Meikei School, which is in Tsukuba city, just to the north of Tokyo: a trip they are much looking forward to!
