Two Christ College Brecon harpists, Anna Phillips and Alaw Price, were privileged to join the Claire Jones International Harp School over the Easter break at Cardigan Castle.
The harpists had a wonderful opportunity to benefit from best practice in a range of musical elements including theory, sight reading and learning new arrangements especially composed by Chris Marshall (Claire’s husband and accomplished West End percussionist and recording artist).
The fantastic sold out final concert took place at the Castle with 40 harpists from all over the UK and beyond. They also had the opportunity to be taught by US guest tutor Lynnelle Ediger, founder of the American Youth Harp Ensemble, who was so inspiring and full of energy.
Best wishes to Anna, who will go to the US in the summer to tour with the American Youth Harp Ensemble.
