Our Boarding Houses really got stuck into the #CaptainTom100 challenge last Friday. Captain Tom 100 celebrates the amazing achievements of Captain Tom Moore ,who raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS Covid-19 appeal. Launched to coincide with what would have been his 101st Birthday, the initiative is aimed at ensuring Captain Tom’s legacy lives on and inspire people of all ages to take part and raise funds for their chosen charity.
The ‘100’ themed activities included baking 100 delicious cup cakes ready for a bake sale ,100 foodbank donations , 100 nearly new clothing donations , a 100 second Basketball shoot out challenge , 100 lengths of the swimming pool as well as a 100 lap dash around the school grounds known as the ‘Mickey Mouse’ .
Their chosen charity was https://kidasha.org who work to prevent the neglect, abuse and exploitation of disadvantaged, working and street children in Nepal. £130 was raised on the day with donations still coming in.
