Year 9 are currently studying Buddhist beliefs and practices and yesterday had fascinating visit to the Palpung Changchub Dargyeling Buddist Temple in Brynmawr.
Pauliina, a Buddhist lay preacher talked about multiple topics related to the pupil’s studies including the history of Buddhism and its central tenants. The pupils had an opportunity to ask many questions and also participated in a meditation session , which they all found very relaxing!
The afternoon visit was a great opportunity for the pupils to extend their studies of different faiths beyond the classroom with more trips planned during the year.
