A Level Results 2022

After all the covid 19 disruption, pupils collected their A Level results today

We are pleased to report that  23% of  A Level Grades  were A* and 45% of grades were at A*/A.  Separately,  100% of BTEC grades were  assessed as Distinction or higher.

In 2019, when external exams were last sat , A* grades were 13% and A*-A grades were 41%.

The pupils who achieved 2 x A* grades or more  this year were:

A Giordano – USA

O Jenkins Brecon

R Kodithawaku – Aberdare

S Loh  –Hong Kong

E Palmer – Chepstow

T Park – Swansea

A Todd – Brecon

Head, Gareth Pearson says ‘ I am delighted with this year’s results and we were pleased to see a return of external examinations to assess pupils.  It was reassuring to see our pupils achieve over 23% A* grades , which is only marginally lower than last year’s Centre Assessed Grades of 24%.  I was also delighted to see all of the pupils who sat BTEC qualifications achieved a distinction or a distinction . Well done to all and good luck in your future endeavors”.
