Four terrific Lower Sixth pupils have been selected for this year's Japan exchange following a highly competitive application process. Amelie Gauger, Sophie Jones, Evie Lewis and Romilly Mason will enjoy two weeks next term at Meikei School in Narita, less than an hour from Tokyo city centre. The experience will be an immersion into Japanese culture as our pupils each stay with a host family, enjoying days at Meikei School, exploring the local sites, a day at Disneyland in Tokyo, a trip further afield and so much more. The sights, the food and the ceremony that comes with life in Japan will provide lasting memories for our pupils who have been hugely looking forward to this part of the exchange programme.
Our four pupils have been brushing up on their basic Japanese in preparation for the more formal parts of the trip. Thanks to social media our pupils have already connected with their exchange partners who are coming to stay here at CCB later this week. This friendly, adventurous and exhilarating program is one of numerous foreign trips that are available to pupils across the school and this program dovetails extremely well with our Malaysian Exchange program. The pupils on that exchange fly off to KH8 this evening. It's an exciting time to be part of the CCB community.
