This year's Middle and Senior School production saw students perform Scrooge – The Musical by Leslie Bricusse, presented by special arrangement with Samuel French LTD, a Concord Theatricals Company.
Sound engineers C.O.B.R.A Music provided technical services and assistance whilst costumes were provided by Script to Screen and sets produced by Stage a Show.
Christ College welcomed the professional assistance in order to provide pupils with a realistic experience of how theatre productions come together on stage and the process that goes into producing a piece of theatre.
The production included music from Leslie Bricusse's score including songs 'I Hate People', 'I Like Life', 'December the Twenty-Fifth', 'Happiness' and 'Thank You Very Much'.
Pupils from years 9 to 13 took on the famous roles; Bob Cratchit was played by Patrick Howells, and Georgiana Griffith, Bob Cratchit's wife. The ghost of Christmas Past was played by Amy Chism, The Ghost of Christmas Present was played by Bradley Crimmings and The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come was played by Alexander Delahaye.
Lucy Richards, Director of Performing Arts said: "Our Christmas production is always a really exciting one, it's a great way to finish the year and the pupils love getting involved. Every year we try and make it that bit extra special and its really exciting to be able to give the pupils a taste of a professional theatre production. We look forward to showcasing the hard work of all the students and invite all friends, families, and supporters to op along and see the show"
