Particular thanks go to:

  • Mr Edgley who put so much work into collecting and mounting the entries.
  • Mrs Gilbey for her support representing the Society of Friends and for organising the Peoples Choice Voting today.

Entries were displayed as an exhibition in foyer of the Hubert Jones Science Centre at Christ College. The winning entries will also be enlarged and will be displayed in the foyer of the Hubert Jones Science Centre after the exhibition has finished.

Christ College welcomed photographic artist and photography lecturer Aled Rhys Hughes to judge the 2010 entries.

After viewing the exhibition Aled said:
"Each of the pupil year-group category winners had obviously considered how they were going to approach the topic, and had evidently created an opportunity to make an image rather than just snapping indiscriminately."

He added:
"The standard of all entries, from pupils and from staff, was extremely high but it was the entries by the pupils which were by far the more imaginative. I hope that some of these talented junior photographers consider a career as image-makers in the future."

The entries are in the web gallery below.
