Ellie Davies (Donaldson's House) has continued her excellent cross-country form by winning the Senior Girls Powys School Cross Country championship which was held in Newtown last week.

Ellie showed real determination to win in what were difficult conditions. Her win confirms what many people think, that Ellie is a future cross-country international. In November she finished 15th in the Welsh Inter-School Cross Country Championships and was part of the Christ College team that won the overall Welsh Inter-School Championships.

As a result of her win, Ellie has been picked to run on the intermediate Girls County Team at the National Schools Finals on Feb 27th.

The other Christ College team members, consisting of Ellen Gowans and sisters Hannah and Sophie Meinertzhagen, also performed well collectively in Newtown and were crowned Powys Champions, adding to their Welsh title. They have all been selected to run on the on the Powys County Senior Team.
