Christ College has been helping the Cardiff Blues to unearth the stars of the future at a Future Blues Summer Camp which was held in Brecon on the 3rd, 4th and 5th August.
The Future Blues ran their annual rugby camp at Brecon RFC for children aged six to 15, providing them with the opportunity to develop basic rugby skills and keeping them active throughout the summer.

A number of Old Breconians assisted the Future Blues Development Officers. Head of Christ College Emma Taylor said: "The pupils and former pupils who volunteer to assist the Future Blues Coaching Camps really look forward to this time of the year. Not only are they assisting the Development Officers with the coaching of new skills but the camps also enable the Future Blues to attract additional funding for them to provide up to four weeks free rugby coaching to schools in the Future Blues region through the deployment of community coaches throughout the school term. We're delighted to be able to play a part in this."
Nadine Griffiths, Cardiff Blues U8-U12 Rugby Development Officer said: "Our summer camps are proving very popular and, with the invaluable help from Christ College, we're really looking forward to coming back to Brecon next year."
Last year's Head of School at Christ College Owen Silk has just returned from a summer rugby tour of Canada with the school. He said: "It was a great camp and we all very much enjoyed assisting the Future Blues Development Officers. The children were fantastic and there was some great talent on show."
Christ College pupil Alex Ryan, who participated in this year's camp, said: "I had a great time on the Future Blues Camp. It was hard work but great fun. I also enjoyed meeting Welsh international Tom James and some of the Cardiff Blues Academy players."
Christ College will be hosting a rugby camp at the school between 23rd-27th August which will be run by Welsh International Nathan Brew of SkillWales Ltd. Details can be found on www.skillwales.co.uk.
