Due to a deep, penetrating frost over Friday night and with the same forecast for Saturday evening, the annual Christ College/Royal Welsh Sevens tournament was cancelled. 

Grounds and Sports staff inspected the pitches on Saturday morning and found them to be unsafe to play on. The forecast predicted similar sub-zero conditions for overnight on Saturday night/Sunday morning. They therefore took the difficult decision to cancel the tournament.
