Old Breconians a hit at local junior rugby tournament
Old Breconians joined rugby-loving youngsters from across Powys and South Wales as they roared into action at the inaugral Ysgol Penmaes Tag Rugby Tournament under the watchful eye of two British Lions.

The RJ Boulton Archive is unveiled at Christ College
700 years of history went on display this weekend as the new RJ Boulton Archive was opened at Christ College.
The Chapel Appeal
Aspects of this much loved building are in need of restoration and repair and whilst Christ College finances are very sound, resources are needed for other routine maintenance and major capital projects. Any surplus is used up in financial concessions to assist needy pupils from poorer backgrounds. Quite simply, all of the required funds are not readily available to meet this specific need from within Christ College's own financial resources in the timescale in which the work to the Chapel is required.
COBs victorious against Llandovery College counterparts after a 5 year break
After a 5 year break, it was good to see friendly rivalry resuming on the cricket pitch as the COBS hosted the Old Llandoverians at Christ College. COBS emerged as the winners by 22 runs.
OBA House of Commons Dinner: 16 May 2009
Some time ago Paul Silk, who succeeded Peter Lewis as our Chairman at the AGM in February, decided that he would like to host his first annual dinner in the House of Commons, where he is an officer.

The 7th Old Breconian VII v Christ College 1st VII Netball match was played during the lunch break of the annual CCB Rugby Sevens tournament, February 22nd 2009.
Successor to the retiring OBA Secretary is announced
The Head and the Chairman of the Old Breconian Association (OBA) are delighted to announce that Huw Richards has been appointed to succeed the current Old Breconian Secretary John Payne from September 2009. Huw is an Old Breconian, former Chairman of the OBA and, currently, is serving as the OBA representative on the Governing Body.

Old Breconian Steve Alport (1973-78) is featured in Cardiff's premier lifestyle magazine City Life this month. Steve, who is a talented artist, talks about his love of drawing and his work ethic.
Steve said:"As Christ College was considerably important to my early development ... I hope the article will inspire some budding young artists at Christ College at the moment!"

How was your day at the office?!
Old Breconian (96-98) Sgt Ed Griffiths, now a winchman with the RAF Search & Rescue will be delivering a lecture at Christ College on Thursday 20th November. Sgt Griffitsh was recently featured on BBC News when he described how his RAF Valley helicopter crew rescued two climbers stranded on the side of Snowdon.
Christ College reception in Hong Kong
On the 25th October, OBs, parents of current and former pupils, and friends of Christ College, gathered in the Cucina Restaurant (Marco Polo Hotel - Hong Kong) for a recepton hosted by Deputy Head Simon Spencer and Development Director Steve Maggs.
Duke of Edinburgh's Award recognises a Christ College VIP
Christ College's Duke of Edinburgh Award Co-ordinator Mr Clive Thomas was invited to St James's Palace on the 15th October as a VIP guest by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.

2008 OBA Dinner at Christ College
In the light of a successful dinner at the school in 2007, and in the knowledge that the 2009 dinner would take place in the House of Commons, the committee decided to repeat the 2007 recipe and hold this year’s dinner once again at the school, on the eve of OB Day.
