According to many that have watched him, Ben Wigmore (Form 2) has the world at his feet when it comes to hockey.
After having been selected to play for South Wales at U14 level for the 3rd year in a row – an unbelievable achievement in itself – and having starred for the CCB U14 Boys Hockey team that recently finished 2nd at the Welsh National Championships, Ben has been included in the Welsh Dragons U13s team for a major UK competition in Nottingham.
In this competition, Ben will be pitted against the best players from the English regions and Scotland, in an event organised by former GB player Graham Bell. This event is renowned for highlighting some of the most promising young stars in UK Hockey.
Hockey coach at Christ College Dr Dominic Phelps said: "This caps off a fantastic season for Ben and not only demonstrates his awesome potential but also suggests that a full national cap may well lie in the not too distant future for him."
His coaches, teammates and everyone in the Christ College community wish him the very best of luck.
