Why Christ College? : Admissions
Entry Requirements and the Admissions Process

Admission to Christ College is simple, uncomplicated and based on the following structure.

  • Pupils normally enter the school aged 11, 13 or 16. Sometimes boys and girls are admitted at other stages in their education.
  • Candidates entering at 11 and 13 are expected to take entrance tests in Mathematics, English and an IQ test. A school report is requested.
  • Candidates entering at 16 are expected to gain 6 GCSEs at Grade C or better. A report from the previous school is also requested.
Scholarships and Bursaries

Christ College offers Scholarships and Exhibitions to recognise academic, artistic, musical, sporting and all-round talent.

In accordance with HMC rulings Scholarships and Exhibitions are available at each age group range from 10% to a maximum of 50% of full fees and are competed for openly at prescribed dates. Bursaries are also available in case of financial hardship.

Bursaries are subject to means-testing and are reviewed annually. The awards described below are offered by competition.

Sixth Form candidates must be under 17 years of age, senior candidates under 14, and junior candidates under 12 on the 1st September in the year of entry. The value of each scholarship is subject to a proportion adjustment when there is a change in the school's basic fee.
