Christ College occupies a beautiful site on the outskirts of Brecon, a safe, small market town in the Brecon Beacons National Park. We are situated in an area which contains some of the most spectacular and diverse landscapes in Europe. The area is home to the mighty Pen y Fan, with its distinctive red table top summit - the highest Old Red Sandstone summit in Britain.

The Brecon Beacons

We are situated just a minute's walk from the centre of historic Brecon which is the bustling centre of the National Park.

With its narrow compact streets, Georgian facades and the restored canal basin, the town tells tales of times gone by. For culture, seek out the 12th century Cathedral, South Wales Borderers Military Museum, and Brecknock Museum and Art Gallery. Brecon offers many great places to eat and stay, and the monthly Brecknock Farmers Market is the biggest in the area.

Specialist independent retailers offer unique and affordable products with a warm and friendly service.Local organic and specialist foods are in abundance and always worth seeking out. More active visitors will enjoy the outdoor equipment shops, bike hire, the Taff Trail cycle path from Brecon or one its outstanding golf courses. With a professional theatre and independent cinema, cafes and restaurants and a leisure centre for rainy days, there's always something to do in this wonderful market town.

We are just under 1 hour from Cardiff, and Cardiff Wales Airport, and only just under 3 hours away from London/Heathrow Airport.
