A Message from the Head

I hope you enjoy our Website.

We are a co-educational independent boarding and day school, located in the market town of Brecon, Wales.

Christ College is one of Britain’s oldest schools. It was founded by Royal Charter in 1541 by King Henry VIII and occupies an enviable site on the outskirts of Brecon - a safe, small market town in a National Park.

School buildings reflect the Christ College's ancient past as well as its determination to provide the best modern facilities possible for its pupils. The Chapel and Dining Hall, both in daily use, date from the 13th Century when the site was occupied by a Dominican Priory.

Christ College is a very special place and I hope what you find on this website persuades you to come and see for yourself. A visit is easily arranged and a typically warm Christ College welcome awaits.

Emma Taylor, Head.
